Shylock: Good or Evil? - Blog Post 86/4/2023 The Merchant of Venice deeply questions the alignment of their notions between good or evil. The story unfolds with the introduction of various characters, and throughout the narrative, many doubt the moral standing of Shylock. Over time, many interpreters start to form opinions shaped by their values, culture, and ethical perspectives. Although to formulate my viewpoint, I wish to share my reflections and draw examples directly from The Merchant of Venice while accounting for arguments from both sides. So after viewing the play, I believe Shylock is a victim rather than an evil antagonist.

Marginalisation is a significant problem in today's society that receives vast attention but no solution. Every day, others who perceive themselves as superior push specific groups back and hold them down. Marginalisation is prevalent in present-day and developing societies and often affects abrupt groups. Among all the groups in the world, I believe Indigenous peoples are the most marginalised in today’s nation.
